Buchanan Hardwoods is a major supplier of hardwood products to various markets worldwide. Our red and white oak lumber is well known for its quality and consistency, and it's used in a variety of manufacturing industries.

Our supply of native oak, ash, and other hardwoods, and our strategically-located sawmills, ensure a consistent flow of product to our customers, large and small.

Our sources of hardwood timber for the production of lumber and flooring range from the rich Tombigbee River Basin in Alabama to the Appalachian Mountains. The large size and continuity of this timber harvesting area assures customers that Buchanan can fulfill their requirements.

Consistent quality has been the key to Buchanan's success over the years. All export and domestic lumber is carefully inspected and measured after kiln drying. Ends painted, package tallies, heavy duty straps and stiffeners are standard for each container or break bulk. All containers are stuffed by Buchanan personnel at the company's yards.

Buchanan produces lumber from all hardwood species, ranging from Soft White Ash of the Mobile River Delta to Appalachian Mountain Oak. High quality Buchanan lumber comes from 7 species.

Perhaps the best way to state it is to say that there are four categories of oak: Northern, Appalachian, Southern and, of course, Buchanan!

It starts with selection - only the best. It requires constant care throughout the entire production process. It means attention to detail at the sawmill. It includes shipping correctly and careful delivery. It takes the Buchanan touch - that is why our Oak is simply a superior choice.
